I hope 2022 is going well for you, your family, and your business and you are entering the 4th quarter with lots of momentum for year-end success!
I think you would agree asking the “why” question is very important, especially when facing major decisions. Taking the time to think about the answer can lead you to usually make wiser choices.
It takes time to think. In fact, it is hard work. Henry Ford once said, “Thinking is the hardest work there is, which is probably the reason why so few engage in it”.
While we may smirk at that a bit, I bet everyone agrees that it takes real effort to think through decisions. I mean to really think it through and ask, “Why am I doing this?” Yet, that is exactly what we should take time to do when making decisions that will have a big impact on our lives and those closest to us.
If you are considering selling your business, I encourage you to do the hard work and ask yourself the “why” question. The answer may seem obvious, but if you get quiet and really think it through you may discover and identify some things that you will want to understand better before the process begins.
