We are pleased to announce the sale of our client, Sonic Soil Sampling, Inc., to Smith and Long, LTD. The acquisition closed July 6, 2020 and details were not disclosed.

Located in Vaughn, Ontario, Canada, Sonic Soil Sampling (Sonic) provides a variety of environmental and geotechnical services to its clients. Sonic places a strong emphasis on the quality of its work.

The company offers its customers a cost-efficient and effective service to the environmental, geotechnical and mining sectors throughout the world, enabling them to conduct a more viable site assessment. Their reputation for quality, workmanship and a willingness to help their customers has been key to their success since 1981.

Today, Smith and Long provides one of the most comprehensive service offerings in the industry, meeting the needs of a diverse clientele within virtually every facet of commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities.

Some of the services they provide include: Electrical and mechanical services, engineering services, integrated automation & control systems, structured cabling, and safety & training programs.

Generational Equity Executive Managing Director, M&A-Technology Practice Leader, David Fergusson, and his team led by Senior Managing Director, M&A, Mike Hammer, with support from Vice President Mergers & Acquisitions, Corey Painter, successfully closed the deal. Senior Managing Director Rick Buchoz established the initial relationship with Sonic.
